Anna made us feel right at home. When we arrived she had a fire burning and wine waiting to be opened! The house was better than in the photos with lots of extra sleeping spots for all our kiddies. The area is beautiful and only 30 mins from a great sledding place. Although every store was sold out so plan to bring your own. I would definitely come back again. Thanks Anna!

What a fabulous, beautiful and spacious home, (it's huge!) and what a terrific host! Anna Maria thought of everything to ensure a comfortable and marvelous stay at her lovely home. We've rented numerous vacation homes around the world, and Anna Maria was by far the most gracious and thoughtful host. She thought of everything, and really made the stay special, from a lovely welcome package, to an upgraded contemporary kitchen stocked with everything even a gourmet chef would want. The house was emaculately clean. Lovely hardwood floors throughout the kitchen and spacious living areas. The beds were comfy, with high quality linens. Plenty of towels, good water pressure and lots of hot water. We were there during a heat wave, but after following Anna Maria's instructions, the house remained cool and comfortable. The grounds were spectacular, set right in the forest amongst the pine trees and wildlife. Pretty deck in front to sit and watch the birds and deer as they grazed on the front lawn. And the pool...oh my! What a gorgeous back deck with a fabulous stone rimmed pool and spectacular setting surrounded by the forest. Anna Maria made sure to provide guidance on how to use the various appliances in the home, and was always available to answer any questions we had and to attend to our every need. The location is great, with quaint Auburn a short drive away. What more could you want?

TriTekSan Francisco - Beautiful home, thoughtful owner

I was most surprised upon entering with how thoughtful the owner(s) is in ensuring we had everything we needed to ensure a relaxing stay. The treats in the kitchen were lovely! The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools and utensils for our own cooking. The pool was a glorious way to relax after each day's long run on the trails around the Foresthill and Auburn area. The location was very convenient for our needs, close to normal conveniences yet tucked away to ensure a quiet weekend. I look forward to returning next year and booking massages too! Though there were only 3 of us for the weekend I can see comfortably having at least 6!

My wife and I were in the Foresthill area outside of Auburn Calif for a wedding and we were very lucky to select this property through VRBO. This is our 3rd time using VRBO and as always the home matched the photos. The owner was terrific, we were told if we needed ANYTHING just call, we didn't need anything. The best part of our experience was that we arranged for a couple of massages, from one of the owners, we both loved it. The massage I had was great and my wife said she was ready to melt after hers. Wife and her girlfriends are now planning "Girls massage long weekend". We highly recommend

Great country home, great massage

I highly recommend this property for a relaxing, comfortable retreat. We were up in Foresthill outside of Auburn Calif and this home was so nice, and the pool is very inviting. We were lucky and made early arrangements with the owner for a Full Body Massage for both my wife and I. The wife looked at me after hers and said she felt like she was melting mine was equally relaxing, what a great way to start a mini vacation. The wives are putting a massage & swimming long weekend together for 5 or 6 ladies. We highly recommend the property especially for those looking to take advantage of the American River rapids and the hiking trails in the area. 4 or 5 golf courses in the Auburn Area.

My husband and I stayed here with some long time friends. When we first arrived and got out of the car the grounds had a very calming effect. The house was extremely clean and well maintained. Very peaceful place.Wild life walking past. Easy to get to off the highway. Great place to relax and enjoy the quite surroundings

What an amazing home and host! We were greeted so warmly by Ana and entered to find a home in which every detail had been thought through! She has left a bottle of wine for us as well as some chocolates and a hand-written welcome note. Even more, she has brought gifts in the form of puzzles and dress up clothes for our two daughters! We couldn't believe how thoughtful she was! The house itself is wonderful. It is very clean, light-filled and filled with all the linens, kitchen supplies and amenities one might need. The pool was perfect and very clean--we spent most of our time there! The setting is peaceful and we saw deer and plenty of birds and small wildlife. We would certainly return again! Thanks Ana for your wonderful hospitality!

Anna Maria's home is fabulous. There is a lot of space, it's very clean and the pool is perfect. The pool is located right outside the backdoor next to a great patio. Our kids pretty much lived in the pool for our entire 3 day stay. As a bonus, we saw a family of deer right from the pool, just outside the property. The area is very nice as well, with lots of great nearby hiking trails, and scenic drives through the impressive nature of gold country. We definitely hope to be back!
